Short: SuperView V4.70 + Library 11.10
Author: Andreas_Kleinert@superview.ftn.sub.org
Uploader: schulze@phil.uni-sb.de
Type: gfx/show
SuperView V4.70 EL (evaluation), a localized Graphics Viewer/Converter/
ScreenGrabber for the superview.library, with ARexx-Support, GUI,
AmigaGuide-OnlineHelp, Cx-Support and many more features.
Converting graphics and "Screen-Grabbing" is possible in a very comfortable
and object-oriented manner, also allows image processing via SVOperators.
OS V2.04+ is required, OS V2.1 and V3.x features are used if available.
SHAREWARE.
Evaluation version with "please register" requester and disabled ARexx-Port
(until you receive your KeyFile...).
Includes licensed SuperView-Library Version 11.10, which includes the
following FileFormats, Display Drivers and Operators:
SVObjects : - IFF-ILBM, IFF-ACBM, PCX, GIF, BMP (W*nd*ws), JPEG,
PhotoCD, TIFF, EPS, FBM (*nix), PNM (*nix),
WPG (W*rdP*rf*ct), IMG (GEM), MAC (M*cPaint),
C64 (Koala,Doodle), Targa, Pictor/PCPaint, SunRaster,
IFF-YUVN, WinIcon, QRT, PICT-2, IFF-DEEP, SGI,
SVO (own Format) and all OS3-Datatypes !
Reads XPK- and PP20-packed data via Unpack.svobject.
Includes "FastILBM24.svobject" for easily reading
24 Bit ILBMs without huge memory usage.
UtahRLE.svobject is available separately.
SVDrivers : - ECS, AGA, EGS7, OpalVision, Retina, CyberGraphics,
PicassoII, Merlin
SVOperators : - Dither24Bit, 24BitToHAM, HilbertDither256, XOR,
ExtractRed, ExtractGreen, ExtractBlue, ExtractGrayScales,
TopToBottom, LeftToRight, Rotate, Scale50, AnyTo24Bit,
Crop, CallPNM, OptimizePalette
PROGRAM-CHANGES:
================
V4.70: - Beta-Versions: V4.64 (various)
- SuperView now contains a complete, GUI-based preferences menu,
which replaces sv-lib's "SuperViewPrefs" in a much more
functional and intuitive way.
Accessable via "?" Button for SVObjects, SVDrivers and SVOperators
(ListView selection) and via "Prefs/Library" menu for global
library settings.
GUI-selectors include String-Requester, FileRequester, CheckBoxes,
ListView and Cycle so far - depends on presence of ".cpinfo" files
as coming with the library (location "ENV:")
- added "Tools" directory:
- new tool "SuperSlide", which ic thought as a separate Viewer,
which e.g. may be used on WB, in Shells or fromout DOpus
(WildCards, multiple selection, etc.)
- SuperViewPalette from "Bonus" directory
LIBRARY-CHANGES:
================
V11.10 (10.9.1995) :
--------------------
- SVObjects: - PNM: fixed bug in header interpretation
(can't perform...)
- YUVN: changed
- added PCD and FastILBM24 to main library
- JPEG: fixed grayscale problem
- ILBM, PCX: more buffersize fixes
- BMP: did fail on BMPs without given BitMapSize
value (header). Now guesses size (max. poss.
size for uncompressed gfx) for this case.
- NEW SVObjects: - added PICT.svobject (it works ;-)
(requested by Jürgen Schäfer; Christian Wincziers)
- added DEEP.svobject for 24 Bit RGB IFF-DEEP files
- added SGI.svobject for 8/24 Bit SGI graphics
- SVOperators: - CallPNM: fixed error behaviour
- added CallPNM to main library
- Extract...: fixed bug in palette generation
for 24 Bit input data
- Dither24Bit: did some speed optimizations
(mainly within quantization part);
added 68030 version; and more
- NEW SVOperators: - OptimizePalette: does remove unused and redundant
colors from graphics (remapping)
- SVDrivers: - added OPAL to main library's directory
and included new V2.3 (thanks, Steve and Paul !)
- MISC: - "Bonus"-Dir now is named "PackerSupport", since
only Unpack.svobject is placed there any longer
- Programmers: - updated Includes and moved some stuff to
new "svobsolete.h"
- updated FD-files
- Catalogs: - expanded Catalogs (plus ".ct"s) and changed
mnemonics according to includes-changes
(SVERR_). Compatible.
- Documentation: - revised, updated and bug-fixed (as usual ;-)
- reworked NotesAndHints.guide, which still
referred to V11.3
- revised and updated CP and CPInfo file format
descriptions/docs (-> Simon Edwards)
- added a list of programs, who use and licensed
superview.library - and more
